Bethany will play Mollie Malloy in La Jolla Playhouse's production of "His Girl Friday." From La Jolla's press kit: "The nationally-acclaimed, Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse is known for its tradition of creating the most exciting and adventurous new work in regional theatre. The Playhouse was founded in 1947 by Gregory Peck, Dorothy McGuire and Mel Ferrer, and is considered one of the most well-respected not-for-profit theatres in the country. Bethany attended the October 14th premiere of "Flight" at the New York Film Festival and now begins shooting on a new independent feature: "Enchanted Amore" in Savannah, GA. "Flight" releases nationwide on November 2nd. Bethany plays the glaring, Pentecostal wife of Whip's (Denzel Washington) co-pilot (Brian Geraghty).

Annual Suzi Bass Award nominations were announced this week. Bethany received two nominations for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her work in both Georgia Shakespeare's "The Glass Menagerie" and Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre's world premiere production of "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner." The Suzi Bass Awards are Atlanta's version of the Tony's, recognizing the best in professional theatre across metro Atlanta.

The Robert Zemeckis helmed feature film "Flight" will debut by closing out the New York Film Festival on October 14th. Denzel Washington stars and Bethany Anne Lind plays the wife of his co-pilot (Brian Geraghty). "Flight" will open nationwide on Nivember 2nd.

Just under 15,000 people saw "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" in it's limited 3 week run with Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre. Bethany was immediately tapped to play "Heather" in the hit show The Vampire Diaries.

Summer of 2012 Bethany is slated to play Joanna Drayton in "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" which Kenny Leon will direct and has been adapted by Todd Kreidler. According to Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre:
"Following a life-altering romance, Joey Drayton (Lind) brings her fiancé, Dr. John Prentice (Tory Kittles), home to San Francisco to meet her affluent parents (Tess Malis Kincaid and Tom Key). Their liberal persuasions are put to the test when they find out their daughter's fiancé, while an ideal choice – a handsome, wealthy, brilliant, internationally-renown doctor from a respectable family (Phylicia Rashad and Afemo Omilami) – is also African-American."

Bethany begins filming "Flight" next month. She will play Vicki Evans wife of "Whip's" (Denzel Washington) co-pilot (played by Brian Geraghty). The film will be directed by Robert Zemeckis (Polar Express, Castaway, Back to the Future I, II, and III). Other cast members include Don Cheadle, John Goodman, and Melissa Leo. Look for it in theatres in 2012.

Bethany was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Play for her performance as Margo in Alliance Theatre's Carapace at the Suzi Bass Award annual announcement party on Monday night. Carapace received six (6) nominations including Best Production, Best World Premiere, and Best Direction by Tony Award winner Judith Ivey. August: Osage County also received a nomination for Best Production and Night Blooms (which Bethany performed in last fall) garnered a nomination for Best World Premiere as well.

Crackerjack starts shooting this month and will wrap in mid-May. It stars Wes Murphy as the title character, Bethany Anne Lind as his love interest and features a cameo performance by Jeff Foxworthy who is also the executive producer. Bethany pulls double duty over the next several weeks as she performs in August: Osage County at the Alliance Theatre and begins shooting Crackerjack.

Today Bethany was named one of four best lead actresses in a play for 2010 by Atlanta Theatre Buzz. This honor came for her performance as Dora in "The Storytelling Ability of a Boy" at Aurora Theatre, a role she created last year at Florida Stage.
12.14.2010Bethany to appear in 2 shows at the Alliance Theatre in 2011
Lind will first appear in Carapace on the Alliance's Hertz Stage as the heartbreaking "Margo." This is a world premiere production directed by Judith Ivey (Designing Women, Will and Grace, etc.) running from February 11 - March 6, 2011.
Next comes the highly anticipated production on Alliance's main stage, August: Osage County, in which Lind will play the precocious teenage Jean Fordham. It runs from April 13 - May 8, 2011 and will be directed by Alliance Theatre artistic director Susan Booth.
